CJC-1295 Without DAC is a synthetic 29-amino acid analogue of growth hormone releasing hormone (GHRH), carrying four amino acid substitutions that increase resistance to DPP-IV enzymatic degradation relative to the native GHRH(1-29) sequence. In laboratory models it is studied as an agonist at the GHRH receptor (GHRHR) expressed on anterior pituitary somatotroph cells.
Research interest in the compound centres on GHRH receptor signalling and on the short-acting activity profile associated with the non-DAC structure. It appears in published work examining interactions between the GHRH and growth hormone secretagogue pathways, which act through separate receptors.
